We loved the Cambria Palms Motel. The rooms were spotless and the beds were better than the Hyatt and Marriott up north. They have a beautiful fire pit at the back of the property with a view of the hills -- a great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. They also have free bikes so you can... more

This small motel was a pleasant and welcome retreat in a beautiful small town on the California coast. The room was clean and very comfortable and the price was great. It is only a short distance to restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again! more

We stayed at the Palms as an overnight between San Fran and LA. The price was good and it was only 1 night so we would have stayed almost anywhere. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. The place has obviously had a lot of money spent on it lately, the beds were new and comfortable, the grounds were well... more

The motel was very nice looking from the outside, but the room we had was tatty, out-dated and just plain dirty! The beds were new and very comfortable, but the rest was a disappointment. The motel is the last one in town, so is the furthest away from the beach, but still managed to charge $20 more than a beach... more

The Cambria Palms has got to be the best deal in all of Cambria. We stayed two nights mid-week and it cost us $150. That is way less than anything I was able to find in the town. As all the other reviews state, the bed and sheets were excellent. We had very restful sleep. The rest of the room... more

This place is finally worthy of Cambria! When we stayed here a few years ago it was rundown with an apparently less-than-caring owner. We rather timorously decided to try it once more; it was the difference between night and day! The new owners, both very friendly and helpful, were on site. It's been totally re-landscaped with creative xerophytic features, a... more

Husband and I visit Cambria a minimum of 10 times a year. We have stayed many places and decided to try Cambria Palms. One positive is the bed! It was new and very comfertable as was the bedding with soft sheets and comforter. The big bummer was the cold shower!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure why but both days we took... more

We decided to stay here after reading the glowing reviews on here. It was also pretty cheap, we paid $90 a night, considering the prices of the other hotels in Cambria. This hotel is in a good location, we could walk into town from here and nearly everything is within walking distance. We decided to walk to the beach, as... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary trip to Hearst Castle. Overall, it was really good stay, and I'd probably stay again. Location: Perfect, super-close to the all the restaurants and shops. Hearst Castle is a very short drive away, as are the beaches. Definitely stay in Cambria if you're going there--there's nothing in San Simeon. Service: Everyone... more
