The main building here is quite lovely, and our room was very, very spacious and well appointed (the fanciest of our 6 different hotels in Bhutan). However, the grounds left something to be desired and could have been made more lovely with minimal expenditures and efforts. The dinners were excellent but, because there are so few guests, there is a... More

Cute and comfy resort on the river in splendid nature I enjoyed the scenic setting, the stylish cottages and the excellent service. No complaints at all, and soon the hot stone bath and the barbeque pavilion will be functional too.

We were amazed when we were escorted into our hotel room. The room was huge--the bathroom vast--it even had its own balcony. Beautiful wooden decor, attention to every detail. Meals were served to our group in a private dining room and were excellent. Our last day the staff performed traditional dances for us. Everything about our stay was wonderful. In... More

I must admit I was a bit concerned about staying at this hotel after I had seen some of the reviews placed on Trip Advisor. It is included under the standard package of hotels under the Bhutan tourist package. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were incredibly spacious, new & clean. We cetainly had no heating problems & the setting... More

Due to the hotel being very empty, rooms had probably not been used in a while. Staff was very helping though and got the heat working. Beautiful rooms. One of the best meals throughout our stay and staff in restaurant is almost overly attentive.

To start with the good things about the hotel - the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and quite contemporary and the staff at the restaurant did their best to make us comfortable with the limited options that they had for vegetarian food. There are several things that need to be changed now - introduce running hot water (the temperatures were... More

We were transfered to that hotel after complaining for the overall standards of accomodation during the trip. It was supposed to be a 5star hotel at 800 US a night... Large rooms... freezing cold because of a tiny heater, not enough hot water for two people, not to mention a bath, decoration seems fancy but is cheap from close look,... More

We were originally supposed to stay in another hotel in Paro but were booked into this one instead. I was suprised to see other reviews of this hotel and the fact that the hotel appears to have been open for some time (at least a year). When we arrived at the hotel at the beginning of October, it seemed to... More

We asked for a hotel close to airport. This was not the closest but 20 mins away. last part on dirt track and if it had been raining or snowing, it would be horrible! Rooms and bathrooms were large and very modern, however my companion's bathroom had no hot water. Restaurant not used to starting early to be ready to... More

I have stayed twice at Udumwara Resort, in November last year and May this year. I like the hotel a lot, for its nice facilities and ambience. The hotel has some amazingly large, well furnished rooms (especially for Bhutan standards). The hotel is really nice, and has good friendly staff. The only downside, in my November stay, we had a...
