My husband and I booked the Patio Suite for our 10th Anniversary. We had a horrible plane flight, but when we arrived for our 2 day stay, we were greeted by a fantastic staff who were so friendly. They showed us to our room and we were amazed to find that we had a private patio all to ourselves. THe... more

Enjoyed our stay,we were in the pet friendly patio room with two queen beds. Loved the patio, even with the weather so cold, added extra space and privacy. The beds were very uncomfortable, no pillowtop, I guess we have become accustomed to a pillowtop. Made the first night very sleepless. We went to Target the next day and purchased a... more

I stayed at the Carmel Garden Court Inn December 30 and 31 with my sister and brother-in-law. We had two patio or garden rooms. The rooms were comfortable and charming. Our patios, complete with outdoor furniture, connected which made it very nice. The breakfast (hard boiled eggs, croissant, muffin, danish, yogurt with granola and fresh fruit, orange juice) delivered to... more

I have stayed at the property for the AT&T previously but this years booking has been as disaster. I was left 3 seperate messages informing me of 3 seperate rate increases due to the AT&T. Apparently they forgot to drastically increase the rates for this weekend when they took my $300 deposit months ago. After much complaining they agreed to... more

Got a gift certificate for this place for our wedding. Stayed for a couple days for our "pre-honeymoon". Was terrible. The receptionist didn't even acknowledge us when we arrived. Her computer work was more important than our presence and she wasn't at all friendly. Our room was dated, had an early 80's feel, and the linens were rough. Our second... more

I thought our room was lovely. We had a small private courtyard which was wonderful for our dog. I enjoyed sitting on the patio in the evening and reading . The plants, flowers, and fountain were beautiful. There were some problems though, the toilet stopped flushing, so my husband fixed it. The shower door would not stay closed, my husband... more

A nice quiet getaway in Carmel. Some rooms have private patios which are ideal for the very nice morning breakfast the inn provides. The rooms are very large with a sitting area and an eating area though the bathroom is small. The inn accepts pets (though the pet fee is too high, $50) and the best pet friendly restaurant in... more

I was driving up Route 1 towards Monterey and decided to stop for the night in Carmel. I gave them a call from my car (found their number in my AAA guide) and the manager was responsive and helpful right away. It's a cute little place, basic but with nice flowers and details that made it great for a one-night... more

Don't listen to the people who were upset with their stay, they just had their hopes too high. This place is perfect for those who need a nice place without the "CARMEL" price. Take your dogs like we did, enjoy a nice stroll on the beach, which is only a short stroll down the main avenue, and be happy with... more

I came to this hotel expecting the worst, since I discovered this site and the negative reviews on this hotel shortly before coming to Carmel and after I had already booked the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised and found the hotel to be a worthwhile stay. In defense of the other reviews, there are a few shortcomings of this hotel... more
