We stayed at the Pine Inn in Carmel, CA. This is the oldest hotel in Carmel, and has the charm of an 1800's facility. The women at the tourist office in Monterey suggested this and we took it sight unseen. The women on the phone was very nice and warm. The check in clerk was the same. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the beach on Ocean Avenue. It is a historic building, 146 years old and the receptionists felt we should of known this????
