My wife and I both enjoyed our stay at this charming little inn. The entire staff were warm pleasant people. The staff gave us great suggestions about the local restaurants and things to do in the area. The room we stayed in was a pleasure. It was large and very clean. My wife and I have stayed at many inns and... more

We had out of town guests who needed a room near our house, so this seemed a good choice. It was less expensive than most of the other choices in town, and located very close to the center of Carmel. It isn't luxurious, nor can you expect it to be, at close to $100 per night in Carmel, off-season. The... more

Carmel is a relaxing oasis from daily grind. Great bars, restaurants, art galleries, shopping, wine tasting, beaches and people watching. If you want to get away for longer than a few hours, an overnight stay is a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just unwind. If this sounds good to you, stay in the village. But, stay somewhere... more

The Carmel Fireplace Inn was the perfect place to begin our vacation. The Inn is charming with a garden and patio for guests to enjoy. Our room was quiet and very, very clean. We would be happy to return to this little gem. . . more

Carmel Fireplace Inn is an older property in a very convenient location for shopping and restaurants. The room we had ,#23, was small but very clean and cosy. It was very quiet as well . Bathroom was a bit old fashioned but functional. Reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was fine although some yogurt would have been... more

Our room was one of the smallest rooms they have to offer, but it was $120 per night, not bad for summer time, and it was very clean, neat, and quiet. The breakfast was very good (fresh fruits, bagels, ect) and the staff was very helpful. Not luxurious, but very cozy. Expect a small room, small breakfast, and no parking.... more

This is a cute and very comfortable place to stay when in Carmel. Room 25 was very nice with comfortable chairs, and a gas fireplace. George and the rest of the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was served in a room with a fireplace and trays were proved if you wanted to take things back to your room. Loved the... more

We stayed at the Dolores Cottage, a Fireplace Inn property right around the corner from the Inn. First off parking an SUV in the small parking area provided, was quite challenging, but after a few shots worked out okay. Upon entering the cottage ($350/night with a dog) we were somewhat put off by the compact size of the unit, the... more

Carmel Fireplace Inn was a last minute substitute when a relative dropped out of the trip. It is well located in Carmel. We liked the chocolate chip cookies on arrrival, the fireplace, spacious unit (#17) with a cozy kitchen. Housekeeping did our dishes and hung up clothes. The breakfast basket was well stocked if not deluxe. The large jacuzzi was... more

We went to Carmel for a nice romantic getaway in late Feb 05. We enjoyed our stay ar the Fireplace Inn. Room #36 was very nice, with both a gas fireplace and a heater. It had lots of windows with nice light, and a view of the bay. The king bed was separated from the living room by a square... more
