We stayed at the Carmel Wayfarer Inn for 2 nights in September 2009, in one of the first floor rooms overlooking the pretty courtyard. We thought this was a good place to stay. Where have they been hiding this place? My husband and I came all the way from Vancouver, Canada and it was the longest drive. Picked the Wayfarer from the information centre in Monterey CA. It is older style motor inn. The rooms were spacious. Our top floor room offered a view of the ocean. The room was clean but dated. The bathroom was clean but again dated. The staff were friendly and gave good advice on where to eat. Overall a good budget motor... more

This was a great bed and breakfast for us to stay in during our honeymoon. The staff was super friendly and offered continental breakfast in the morning and complimentary wine/cheese in the evening. The rooms were good enough and opened up to a beautiful courtyard to unwind at after a long day. more

We travel extensively and stay in five star hotels. The wayfarer is very comfortable and the staff make you feel at home and ensure that your stay in enjoyable. Great value! more
