Wonderful place lived up to the web site. We stayed in the Blue Bell cottage, was perfect for 3 people, or a couple with 2 children. Only had one night would have loved to have stayed longer. Lovely spot friendly staff and cat. Walked to dinner at A W Shucks which was good.

Our family of four from New Zealand spent a night here in beautiful Carmel and just loved this inn - it was quiet, clean and comfy beds and we enjoyed sitting around the outside fire chatting to people from all over. Friendly helpful staff and a truly gorgeous spot to spend some time. Thanks:)

Anyone travelling from SF should stop at beautiful Carmel, and stay at Lamp Lighter Inn. Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms and surroundings. Very close to both beach and Carmel village centre. One night was not enough.

The inn itself is a lovely little place in the heart of Carmel, but their breakfast and coffee should have been more in keeping with their rates. They need to add some type of coffee/ expresso machine with much nicer offerings for breakfast.

Stayed in Forest Lodge's Garrett Loft - lots of space, well lighted, and comfortable. Location within easy walking distance to everything. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We felt that the value was very good and highly recommend the Lamp Lighter Inn/Forest Lodge property.

What a great spot for enjoying quaint Carmel.
