Nice older Hotel (like alot in Carmel), but recently renovated rooms, so it was clean. Our room had a separate living room when you walked in, then a bathroom & bedroom. Everything worked fine. Furniture was a little dated, & was a little musty smelling when we first walked in, but we opened windows & all was fine after that.... more

The Wayside Inn is not only beautiful and immaculate, the staff are all wonderful. We stayed in a deluxe room (23) with a very romantic double jacuzzi, fireplace, and CD player that even came with "mood music" CDs! The staff at the Wayside inn were professional and helpful but more impersonal than at the B&B's we have stayed in around California. Our suite was a little expensive but very nice and very clean. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever experienced!!! Location is good and close to shops and 15 minute walk to the gorgeous beach.... more
