Hi i recently stay in Sandyland for 2 weeks , It's seems to me they have a new general manager who is doing a lot remodeling at the hotel step by step. For me the room was ok for the price, and the staff was well training as well. the only thing I missed was the A/C , I was... more

Not worth your money or time. Room smelled like old curry, no air and found roach on bathroom floor. I was told one price from one person and then charged almost $30.00 more from the girl the next day. TOTAL rip off. When I asked about the price difference she told me it was higher now due to all the... more

We recently stayed at this motel for 2 nights. The description on Expedia says it is well appointed. I would not recommend it for the following reasons: The walls had unrepaired holes and/or unpainted repair spots. The TV cabinet had pencil writing on it by more than one person. The showerhead trim was hanging off. The bathroom cabinet had gouges... more

Well - we checked-out within ten minutes of checking-in. That was long enough. As we drove into the place we wondered whether we'd made a wrong turn, but that they had our booking details confirmed my worst fears. I had booked a dud! How this happened I still cannot explain as I checked review after review and still made the... more

We could not understand how Expedia dare to have this kind of hotels listed. This is the trashiest hotel we have ever stayed at. We imagined that we would be staying in a decent hotel for $134.00 a night, but being there is a different story. The walls are peeling off, the blankets and sheets are old; they don’t even... more

We arrived here after dark on a Friday evening. Santa Barbara was full so we had very few options. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The rooms were small, but unlike other reviewers I didn’t find them or the bathrooms dirty. Noisy – of course, it’s only across the road from 101, what do you expect?. The ‘Continental Breakfast’ was... more

The place needs a total over-haul. The previous reviews were not exagerating- well expect the pool is s l i g h t y larger then a jaccuzi. more

This is a horrible place. The people are rude and greedy! The hotel is beyond nasty! The rooms are smelly. The bathrooms do not have a door. The bathtubs are dingy. Be afraid, be very afraid. They will charge you $100.00 if they open the door to one of the rooms for you especially if you decide not to stay... more

The hotel was awful...I don't even know where to start. 1. Towels were so thin it was like using a papertowel 2. Very dirty with roaches and ants. 3. Pool was the size of a jacuzzi. 4. Shower was the size of an outhouse. 5. I would rather sleep in a tent with sand poured all over me!!! Warning....Stay far,... more

When we checked in at the Sandyland Reef Hotel, the office smelled very musty and had water marks dripping down the walls. When we looked at our room, we had to go through a small courtyard that had old furniture in it, and when we opened the door to our room, the smell was enough to tell us we couldn't... more
