The rooms are beautiful, the food terrific and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay outstanding! My favorite part is the warm cookies and milk at your door every evening. more

After going through several websites and looking at MANY hotels and B&Bs, my wife and I decided on the Cayucos Sunset Inn for the night of our 2nd wedding anniversary. We used the B&Bs website and booked the Provence, one of their junior suites downstairs. Booking the room couldn't have been easier. When we finally arrived, we were warmly greeted... more

Cayucos is great when you want to get away from it all. It is a tiny CA beach town between Cambria and Morro Bay. Cayucos is also close to Paso Robles and the wine country. Our getaway was made even more special because we stayed at Cayucos Sunset Inn, a wonderful B&B! Close to the beach, huge private balcony, fireplace,... more

The service was excellent. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms downstairs on the front of the house and slept in complete silence. The fireplace was a great touch and the bed was more than comfy. Kai the mascot was a friendly face to see each day and the staff was more than helpful any questions I had. Milk... more

Lisa is a wonderful hostess. We were greeted warmly. On Thursday evening, as every evening, we had appetizers and unique wines. Thursday was Valentine's Day, our anniversary, and she served Italian Red Champaign. The breakfasts were excellent. At night Cookies and milk were delivered to the room. We saved the milk for in room coffee the next morning, before going... more

This was our second stay at Cayucos Sunset Inn - this time we stayed in the Sunset Room, their premier room - and no wonder ... huge suite ... I would guess at least 1000 square feet - a TV and DVD player in each room, two-person Jacuzzi with plenty of jets, a shower that features a rain-shower head and... more

We planned a trip to Cayucos for 2 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. Driving from San Jose the weather was like a hurricane, so when we finally arrived at the Inn, we were really ready to relax. Our room, the Paradiso, was beautiful (perfect bed) and had 2 fireplaces - it also had a huge Jacuzzi tub. The "Happy... more

We found this place completely by accident. Decided to just drive up the coast on a holiday weekend [Veteran's Day] without making reservations. As expected, many places had no vacancies. As it started getting dark, we noticed a turnoff for Cayucos and we went for it. Found this place thru the AAA book, called and got lucky. All the previous... more

While the town seems to be a typical California beach town, circa 1960's (Which we like!) , the Sunset Inn is indeed atypical of the area. Lisa, the owner and the staff would be enough to warrent a stay here, but the facility itself is also top notch. Each room expresses a "personality" (again Lisa) which seems to enhance your... more
