Well, first of all you will have to accept the fact that it is a motel, not a fancy-expansive hotel. Second, for a motel, it is very nice. The room is clean with a fridge. The location is convenient and you may take a trolley to downtown or drive for 15 minutes to get there. Parking is free and wireless... more

Very nice well run motel comfortable, quiet, clean and roomy.Air conditioner and all other electric appliances worked perfectly, plenty of hot water, towels and soap. Many different restaurants within 10 miute walk, trolley and freeway nearby also, making Sea World the Mexican border and other attractions easy to get to. So all in all I found the Chula Vista Good Nite Motel the ideal base... more

A good, basic, more than adequate two star motel which is clean, quiet and convenient to san diego and south bay and tijuana. It is close to I5 but not noisy. Lots of nearby restuarants including El Torito (tex-mex), those at the marina (seafood), and Zorba's (greek). Internet is a bit slow and costs $5/day. The morning "continental" breakfast is... more

Booked this hotel online because we were going to a concert around the area. Booked it for 2 nights. I read the reviews before I booked my hotel so I knew what to expect. I booked a Smoking Room with a King Bed online (that is one of the room options that the Good Nite Inn Offered.) Well when we... more

Dear Guest, I am sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. I personally went on the website to verify your comments. While we do not advertise on any website we have smoking King rooms and under the full description of the King room type we do mention Non Smoking, However I did notice that on the Trip Reservation when actually booking...

This is the 3rd of 4th time I've stayed at this Hidden Gem. It is very nice and a great value. I can see how it might be missed on the freeway, but it is worth finding. Plus, it is not far from SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, or on one of my stays it was for business at the convention... more

We booked a room at the Good Nite Inn based on the feedback on Trip Advisor. This place is awesome for the cost. On a holiday Saturday night our double room was $65 + taxes. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The sheets were 100% cotton. No noise at all at night. Fridge in the room. Conveniently located... more

It's a good place really not far from San Diego. For the price you can't go wrong. The staff was helpful when we asked for directions and we're not rude at all. The place is clean and the room too. they have a little breakfast in the morning nothing special but can help you start the day. We did enjoyed... more

Thank you for acknowledging all the positives about the hotel and staff. The Trolley is just a short walk away and for $5.00 you can avoid the high parking fees of down town. The Trolley system goes to the Downtown San Diego/Convention Center, OldTown, or even to Mexico. It is a goal of ours to provide the guest with Great...

Really exceeded my expectations! Very friendly and helpful staff, they appear to have cleaned the place up and gotten rid of much of the rift-raft. I have stayed here on and off for the past several years, compared to my last stay here (October 2009) I could not believe I was at the same place. The front desk was very,... more

Bought a citypass for a Disneyland vacation. Decided to travel July 2 by car from Colorado Springs. 18 hour drive. Thought it better to get the Seaworld and Zoo done before Disneyland. Everything I found on the internet in San Deigo was WAY too exspensive. Found the Goodnite Inn Chula Vista, and read both good and bad. Didn.t know what... more
