This hotel is an older property but it seems to have been taken care of. The exterior paint and landscaping are good. I booked for just a night and was pleasantly surprised given the number of poor ratings. The room was large enough, clean, adequately furnished (with what appears to be newer furniture as it is different than in the... More

On a regular basis I stay at this hotel off the 10 Hwy in Claremont, CA. The prices are reasonable and the rooms are adequate. This is not a fancy place and has recently had some refurbishment done. Its age shows, for sure. But if you need inexpensive overnite accomodation, this works.

Don't stay here. The room had 3 different types of furniture all of which looked yard sale quality. The beds were worn and uncomfortable, one of them tilted to one side. The towels were the size of hand towels and scratchy. Breakfast? Even my 19-yr-old son who eats everything in sight wouldn't eat there after the first day. We stayed... More

I stayed here because it was close to the freeway. Upon looking at the rooms, I felt I should have went elsewhere, but I was trying to meet a friend and this hotel, I figured, was easy for her and her son to find. The rooms are old and very well worn. But ok, its just a night. We stayed the... More

Is it the Ritz??? NO WAY, but it's not nearly as bad as some people here are making this hotel out to be. I was put here for a school situation by the school. I have stayed at the MGM Grand in Vegas and 4 1/2 star hotels at Disney World and St. Martin. Is it that great? No, but... More

So this is basically a Motel 6 with tennis courts. Simply said even calling this place a hotel is deceiving. The room entrances are all to the outside, the breakfast is below meager with stale bagels and very few choices. The new owner is supposedly trying to turn things around, but I'm not seeing it. Avoid and stay at a... More

I had to stay because I was taking a class in the same building. For the price its horrible. Were do I begin okay the only good thing is they allowed a couple of us stay in the same room for the same price. Other than that I walked in and the decor was old school, air conditioner older than... More

I sent a colleague to stay there because of its close proximity to Claremont. He was presenting at a conference in Claremont. He is very angry that I booked this for him. I booked it because I actually believed the most recent reviewers. I told him I would try to make it right by writing this review. First warning upon... More

We've stayed at the Hotel Claremont two or three times and my parents and friends of ours have stayed there. We must have had the same room-with-the-cigarette-burn-in-the-comforter as another reviewer: my feeling was that I was in a not entirely unpleasant 1980s time-warp. Our room (friends' and parents' rooms) has been spotless. (That would add up to either four or... More

This was a strange venue to be showing purebred dogs. At first I was not at all comfortable being a single woman with my 2 dogs--there were pimps outside soliciting their prostitutes. I was very nervous about leaving my RV outside. I relaxed when I saw another single woman and her dog appear from the room next to me and... More

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The safety of our guests is our top priority. We cannot always control the types of people that check in to our hotel, but if once they have checked in and we realize something illegal is going on they would be asked to leave. We haven't had this type of problem before,... More
