Just returned from 3- night stay. Hotel space in town is tight during the Claremont Colleges Parent Weekend, and this looked like a good value. Unfortunately, we pre-paid for the entire stay -- big mistake! The room was wasn't even "OK" -- the shower had mildew along the grout lines, the shower faucet leaked, and the beds were terribly uncomfortable.... more

The room itself was okay, nothing special, and the beds were comfortable, but the grounds were filthy. There was trash by the pool that was left at least 24 hours, and the pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I wouldn't even take off my flip flops, let alone actually enter the water. Yuck! more

We stayed six nights in the Hotel Claremont while visiting relatives nearby and would happily stay there again. Our room was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. While the hotel is near the I-10 freeway, our room facing the pool was very quiet. Staff was pleasant and responded immediately when a light burned out. Continental breakfast was light -- bagels, Danish, muffins,... more

We stayed one night at this hotel while visiting nearby colleges. The Hotel Claremont is a dive. The rooms are old and dirty, kicked in hole on the bathroom door, uncomfortable beds - overall very well worn rooms. The hotel staff was nice enough - breakfast is minimal, bad coffee, donuts and bagels. The worst was the homeless person passed... more

This place shows it age!! Rooms a very run down and lots of bugs. Staff is so so, no one really goes out of there way to assist you with anything, nor is staff very knowledgeable about local business. You can feel safe as the local police patrol through property on a regular bases and question guest. Room doors don't... more

This hotel was dirty, the staff was rude and the room was run down. Not worth the price of admission! Wished we had a can of Lysol! Left after 1st night! more

I was very impressed with the two tennis pros I saw, next time I am in town I will sign up for some lessons. Truthfully I think the hotel could use an upgrade and I am not happy with the hotel allowing dog shows. I was allittle disturbed by seeing so many cats around the area. I love animals but... more

Since 1998, I have stayed at this hotel twice a year, because it hosts our club's event. Our club is thinking of making some changes, however. For $90 a night, you get an aging room in which the ceiling is sagging, the wallpaper is peeling off the wall, and you might find a bullet hole in the wall right next... more

We were surprised how inexpensive this hotel was. We were even more surprised at the lovely room, amenities, pool, and grounds. Not sure if use of the tennis courts were included but might have been. Free breakfast was ok - bagels, muffins, danish, juice and coffee - not bad for free. Right next to the freeway but noise was just... more
