Stayed here with son while visiting nearby colleges. Very nice. We didn't try the restaurant with so many good choices in the nearby village. The rooms all have a balcony, so ask for one facing the courtyard rather than the car park. There's a nook off the lobby with a couple of computers & a printer, handy for printing a... more

This was a lovely hotel, and reasonably priced. Food in the restaurant onsite was good but a bit expensive and the breakfast enchilada was huge. Too much for one meal. I used the weight room. I noted that in dry southern California, there was a lot of vegetation and probably too much use of the precious resource of water. Maybe... more

I don't like to spend more money than necessary on an overly luxurious hotel but I really do appreciate having clean, nice surroundings. We usually don't spend much time in our hotel, we are traveling to see the sights or visit friends and family and the hotel just gives us a place to relax briefly, sleep and get ready for... more

When my travel involves flying in or out of Ontario airport and I'll have a rental car, I try to stay at the nearby Claremont Doubletree hotel. It is a renovation of the old Griswalds resort, so, while renovated, the rooms are older and some are pretty small. After about five visits I found the staff to be unfailingly friendly,... more

This little hidden gem was a nice getaway. We picked it because it was 10 miles from where we were suppose to be and we didn't have a chance to check reviews, so we went with an open mind...lol.. We noticed little shops and restaurants on our drive up from the freeway. It's close to a Trader Joes and Buca... more

We were visiting the Claremont McKenna colleges and were delighted with the Double Tree. Nice room and pleasant pool. The hotel restaurant was empty and did not appeal to us, but we preferred to eat in the village anyway. Hotel staff were helpful with directions. more

Based on some of the previous reviews, we stayed here only because of its proximity to the Claremont Colleges and our limited time for commuting to towns further away. The check-in and check-out went smoothly. Our room was clean and everything was in good order. We thought a sliding door did not work but a hotel engineer checked it out... more

We were in Claremont, CA to tour the local Claremont Colleges. There aren't many hotel options available in the area. I booked on-line and, based upon Trip Advisor reviews, requested a newer room. We arrived early and were given a room that was a far cry from new. The room smelled mildewy. The tub drain "stopper" was completely out and... more

This is by far the worst Doubletree property I've ever stayed in. I could hear the people in the room above me walking on the floor! And when the people in the rooms on either side of me flushed the toilet or turned on the shower, the noise woke me up. Then I wound up in a billing dispute with... more

I traveled to Claremont, CA on business, and was booked into this hotel by the host of my visit. While the appearance of the hotel and room were fine, the trouble began shortly after getting to my room. I did not have a properly functioning toilet for the entirety of my stay - that would be three days & two... more
