There are not a lot of good hotel options on Hwy. 5 between Southern California and Sacramento/Bay Area...Harris Ranch is a perfect midway place to stay if you want to break up your trip. I've stayed at the Harris Ranch Inn three times over the span of about 10 years. This last time was on a drive home from Napa. Overall, I really like the Harris Ranch.
