We just returned from spending 5 days in Costa Mesa, and have nothing but praise for the Best Western and its staff. Our room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the linens were fresh and changed daily. The staff were very friendly and were definately focused on good customer service. Even though the hotel is right on Newport... more

First room smelled like cigarette smoke so I requested another one. Second room was ok (3rd floor). Could not hear trafiic noise although hotel is very close to 55 hwy. Whole hotel would need renovation. Both rooms felt kind of damp. Service was good. Breakfast was included but very basic. For $100 ok hotel, but fairly basic and old. more

Incredibly kind and efficient service. Very close to John Wayne, SNA, airport. Courtesy shuttle upon arrival which took 10 minutes to arrive and about 5 minutes to get me to the front desk. The king size bed was unbelievably comfortable -- not saggy and droopy like many hotels. I don't know if it was just my room or if they've... more

This was your average hotel, but good for the price in this area - if you don't mind being a bit further from the beach. It was clean and provided a decent place to stay for a night. more

Some will be disappointed here if they are looking for paradise. But for an area of over-priced hotels, this place is a huge bargain. It's a tad beat-up but pretty clean, free wireless, good location. Moderate your expectations and you'll feel good about the deal. Jack-in-the Box a couple doors down....go get your tacos, do e-mail, go to bed. more

We recently stayed at the Newport Mesa Best Western. The hotel was clean and bland. But -- every morning they had a full breakfast that was very good. We had eggs, bacon, potatoes, pastry, bagels, cereal, etc. It was restocked as things ran out. They have a nice huge dining room. It was well worth the price when you figure... more

I booked 10 nights at this hotel (sight unseen). I had never been to CA before, so I researched many hotels before settling on this one, as I got the lowest price out of many others in the area. I referred to the BW website as well as the trip advisor reviews (all quite favorable) to assist me with my... more
