I booked this hotel because of location, free parking, and price. As we drove up to hotel, I was a little disappointed at the neighborhood (sort of nondescript, commercial area). But the area is not run-down, and the covered parking is a plus. The lobby is very spartan and the staff was more business-like than friendly. But the room overcame... more

The guy at the front desk was unfriendly. The room was dark and damp/smelly. No daylight. Not a very safe place (Lot's of dark corners before getting to your room). The hotel is right next to the highway. Go and stay somewhere else if you can! more

I recently went to LA for a visit and wanted a hotel, reasonably priced, near my son's apt. Because of the proximity of the hotel, I looked into staying here. After reading the reviews, I was a bit hesitant but the price was right so we decided to take a chance. First of all, it was immaculate! The room was... more

I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I found covered parking. It rained my entire stay, so it was nice to get to my car without getting drenched. The bullet proof glass at the front desk urged me to ask about the neighborhood which is really very safe. Walking into the room I was again pleasantly surprised at how large... more

They claim you receive a free breakfast, but what you get is a voucher for the cafe next door. You receive about $5-6 towards breakfast, which would cover a bowl of oatmeal. If you want more than that for breakfast you must pay the difference. In our party, we had two mothers and two daughters, but since one daughter was... more

Could there be new management of this Travelodge? Yes, those behind the desk were very pleasant and greeted us with home baked cookies in the morning, but the problems here far outweigh the good points. And there are some very good points. As another reviewer wrote, the rooms are huge – at least twice the area of any good-sized hotel... more

I read the reviews about "okay, fine" and "best for area", so believed this was a good place to stay. My mistake to continue the check-in process after arriving. The floor was dirty - our clean bare feet looked dirty after walking on it, and we confirmed the filth after putting some water and a rag to it to check... more

For a 2* hotel, not bad at all. Had a 2-queen beds room on the 3rd (top) floor in the back. Very quiet. Room was clean and very large although sparsely furnished. Good cable tv. Microwave and small refrigerator in the room, as well. Improvements needed: the shower head is way too low and old. Just a basic type with... more

Four of us checked in on a Saturday night just for a place to sleep after flying in. Low price, about $75, big room, easy check-in. Nothing special, but seemed quiet. If you're nervous, I'd check in during daylight as it seems like a somewhat dark location off the well lit Sepulveda Blvd. I wouldn't stay here more than a... more
