Just to let you know about this very nice hotel, our staying there was really good. The service, the room, everything was just right. We stayed there for 2 nights my family and me enjoyed a lot. The hotel location is realy good too, food, shopping etc was nearby. We definately recommend this beautyful hotel. more

Checked in for a five-night stay with the deskclerk failing to mention that the hotel would have no electricity for 10 hours the following night. Only learned about it when reading the note left on the desk in the room. AC didn't work well. Had it, then it wouldn't helped kill the noise from the PCH right out the window.... more

When we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite. It was a very nice room. We had a living room area to watch tv and eat. A separate room with a big king bed that was very comfortable. Right in the heart of Dana Point, so although we didn't really explore the area as we were spending time with family, it seemed that it would be fun for a longer stay. Parking was tight but free and expanded continental breakfast was good. All in alll we would stay there again. Clean and priceds right under $100-. more

Our experience at the HI Express in Dana Point ended up being disappointing. There were issues during our stay. I will not dredge up all those issues due to the morning staff being friendly and apologetic. However, I think to have properly resolved the situation a credit or discount should have been applied. Rooms were fine and the facility was in decent shape. The pool is closed indefinitely due to safety code violations??? Good breakfast and front desk staff. Wireless internet was satisfactory. View from my room was of a vacant lot. Decent place but I would probably stay somewhere else next time. Parking is very tightly spaced. more
