Fourth time at this hotel, which is good value for the area. River rooms are best, having a patio or balcony directly overlooking the Merced river - wonderful! Lovely place to stay just outside of YNP. We stayed in room right on the Merced River, the room was huge with a double spa bath in the room. What DO other people expect when they go on holiday? I expect a comfortable room, a reasonable restaurant, good facilities, quiet at night and a good view is a bonus. There is nothing good about this restaurant, and no reason to eat there. The food is very bad and the prices are high.
