I stayed the weekend with my kids while visiting an eldery aunt. After a long day of traveling, the kids were excited to go swimming. We took time to go sit by the pool and swim. While we were there, a group of kids, ages 12-16 were swimming and a parent was present with the kids 50% of the time.... more

The rooms were great, and the price was right, or so I thought. When I later checked my credit card statement, I was charged an additional $200 for supposedly smoking in the room. I called the hotel to have the charge removed, and they refused. I am still disputing with the credit card company about the charges. DO NOT STAY... more

Nestled in between San Francisco and Berkeley lies Emeryville. Once a bit of an industrial wasteland, Emeryville is trying to reinvent itself. The plan is working, and Emeryville have successfully attracted many businesses - as well as no less than four different hotels within walking distance from each other. One of them is Four Points by Sheraton San Francisco Bay... more

Check-in was prompt & professional. Front desk staff needs to learn how to say, "Good evening. May I help you?" instead of "What do you need?" Otherwise, staff were fine. Room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We had a room facing the street on the second floor and it was VERY quiet. We did not hear a peep all night... more

The biggest problem with the Four Points, from my perspective, is sound. My room faced the train tracks (instead of the Bay), and I could easily hear the frequent locomotives growling by. The noise of traffic whooshing over the Powell Street overpass was also ubiquitous. More sound from people in the hall intruded than should have. And, yes, the air... more

I am a business traveller who has been on the road 50 weeks a year for 10 years, and this is without qualification the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Yes, there is a pool, but other important services are seriously lacking. There is no guest laundry, so you are forced to either use their expensive cleaning service or... more

This is a reasonably nice hotel that aspires to be "business-class" but doesn't quite make it. On the other hand, the price is not bad in the context of the area. Hotels just ain't cheap around here. The property is right off the Powell Street exit of the 80/580/880 complex on the East Bay side of the Bay Bridge. Very... more

Very good business class hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms appear to have some recent renovation with newer furniture and light fixtures. Beds and pillow were extremely comfortable! Above average in cleanliness and service. Walking distance to a major shopping plaza with stores and restaurants. Starbucks and Trader Joes is across the street for snakes or food. more

We were assigned this hotel when we booked on hotwire, so it was an accidental booking. Nonetheless, we were pleased with it - staff was quite friendly, rooms were perfectly comfortable, etc. COnsidering it is right next to a freeway, an overpass and a train station: was fairly quiet! Bartender gave my little daughter an oatmeal cookie - always a... more

Stayed for several nights and had several problems. The upgraded rooms are nice, but half of them are adjacent to a busy street with a lot of noise. The regular room I tried smelled bad, like someone with bad BO had been sleeping in the room. Unclear if that was it or if it was from water in the carpet.... more
