I really went back and forth about visiting the Golden Door because it is so expensive, but I felt like I desperately needed a week for rest, relaxation and renewal so I bit the bullet and went for it. Passing through the Golden Archways, was unique experience. The grounds are well tended and modest in that Zen way. Women walk around in spa issued kimono and "fans" that lay out their entire stay. Food, even though extremely low calorie, was fantastic. The chef's, using fine herbs and fresh produce and fish, can transform half an egg and thin slice... more

I love spas and had been to a couple before.Many, many times to Canyon Ranch where I will return many more times and a couple of times to Rancho La Puerta, sister spa to the Golden Door. I will not return to the Golden Door. I am one of the very few who think this way since most guests had... more

Every women should experience the Golden Door...I loved every second of it...and cried when I had to say goodbye to so many new and wonderful friends. I can't think of anything negative to say....it was just sooo perfect!!! I will be heading back next year! more

Go! Run to the Golden Door! You won't regret it. You will feel better than you have in ten years after a week here. Reward yourself in a healthy way. more
