Sugar Pine Cabin is a nice, clean cabin located just outside of the entrance to Yosemite on Hwy 41. It is a very short drive to the Mariposa Grove inside the park but about an hour to either Glacier Point or the Valley. If you plan on making multiple trips into the park, the drive could get tedious and you might want to consider staying in the park or in West Yosemite, Foresta or El Portal (other residential areas somewhat closer in). I have driven at night in Yosemite in previous years, towards the west entrance, and it was terrifying. Driving at night to the south entrance (Fish Camp) was not at all. I did not find the length of the drive unpleasant, and there is a gas station and a Wawona convenience store on the way.

Affordable:
We paid less than we would have paid for a Redwood Cabin inside the park. Those cabins buy...
