We have a long history with Fort Bragg once having owned a second home there. When we had to sell we didn't return for months and missed the place badly. Finally we could take it no longer. We wanted to go back, problem was where to stay. We're not B&B people and we were not in love with any other... more

The prics is right for what you get, but it"s in the middle of the houseing of Fort Bragg so you have to drive to everything. We found motels by the beach area for a few $$ more. more

Difficult to fault the Columbi Motel at the price. The property itself has that ‘need a lick of paint’ look about it, but don’t let that fool you. Inside those doors it’s all as fresh as a daisy with many fittings appearing new. Everything works well, including excellent wi-fi. The somewhat unusual arrangement of covered areas for the cars between... more

As all the other reviews indicate, this is not a luxury spot or a "destination." What you see is what you get: a spotlessly clean place to stay in a quiet neighborhood, away from the main road traffic and away from inflated prices. Our room had a queen and a single bed, which made it a bit cramped, but we... more

There are 6 people in my family who all comfortably stayed at the Colombi Motel. It is located in Fort Bragg and we were able to see the ocean from our room (#11) which was super clean and smelled extremely fresh. It had 2 queens and 3 doubles and was a gigantic sized room (not a suite). The heaters worked... more

A lot has been done to ensure these 1950 style motel rooms with individual garages are spotllessly clean. The location is fine and accomodation is triple the price in Mendocino, so if you have a family, this is a good base. You have to collect the kitchen utensils from the Deli over the road which are a bit basic and... more

This place harkens back to the 1950's. This motel is in a real neighborhood. You walk away from the coast and downtown into the residential area of Ft. Bragg and can get a real sense of people there. The Columbi's are an old family of Ft. Bragg; they own the little market/deli, the laundromat and the motel. Stop at the... more

the Colombi is great and weird. You check in in the supermarket the Colombis also own and they give you a list of things you cannot do and what happens if you do them. Straight out of the 1960s. And it's great because what you get is a totally clean, extremely friendly and spacious place to stay. The rooms are... more

We just returned from a two- night stay. The room was good size, and exceptionally clean. There was a separate kitchen (w/ four burner electric stove w/oven, microwave, refrigerator, breakfast table and plastic chairs). You must bring your own pots, pans, and silverware, Some of these things may be available for rent at the market. Complimentary coffee, tea, and ice... more

This motel served the purpose well for a family of four but there are so many little details that could easily be attended to which would make it a lot better. The room was very clean and the queen bed was comfortable. The 2 kids had to share a full size....kind of tight. Having to walk a half block to... more
