Great spot, very close to everything wonderful especially hiking at Sugarloaf Park and the Jack London museum/park. Great muffins, swell bathtub, wonderful to have a fireplace in the room. more

We stayed at Glenelly Inn and cottages in Glen Elllen, CA for a weekend wedding we attended in August and stayed in one of the two new private cottages they added to the bed and breakfast inn and it was wonderful, right in the town of Glen Ellen, close by the wineries and off Highway 12, a cozy remodeled bed... more

This is not a real B&B as the owner manages other properties and was seen fleetingly driving her suburban down the driveway after checking in with the manager (who has apparently read enough reviews about herself to force a smile). It is more like a country inn, or a motel with a nice breakfast. The best part was the breakfast... more

Since I couldn't get a room at the Glen Ellen Inn with the rest of my group. It was recommended that I stay at the Glenelly Inn. It was a delightful surprise. It had a charming, quaint atmosphere and Kristie, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful. The best surprise was the gourmet, homemade breakfast each morning. What a treat! more

We enjoyed our stay but mostly were happy with the location. Agree heartily that this is a personal business and would have liked to see the owner more. When you hire people to do everything it is not what we think of as a B&B. more

We greatly enjoyed our recent stay for our daughter's wedding in Glen Ellen. Nice clean rooms, beautiful trees and gardens, a terrace to take in the breeze or have that afternoon wine snack. Staff could not have been nicer. I enthusiastically recommend this place as it is quiet, small and well located. more

My husband and I stayed on Monday, October 27th. It appeared there were only two other guest rooms occupied the night we were there, so it was nice and quiet. We absolutely loved the overall atmosphere of the place. Lovely trees, tranquil outddoor seating for a picnic, the main dining area was spotless and lovely. We spent a little time... more

This was our first time staying at the Inn. As soon as we arrived, we felt relaxed. The entire property exudes comfort and relaxation. We stayed in the beautiful Ingrid's Garden cottage. The bed was so comfy, I got back in right after breakfast and stayed there most of the day! I also used the jacuzzi style tub. It was... more

We were very excited about what we read on the website, but our experience did not match up. First, our greeting was very cold. We asked for early check-in, by email, and never received a response. When we arrived about 1 hour before check in time, we were told to come back later--not the kind of response you want to... more

My husband and I have stayed at many B&Bs in the US and Europe, and particularly in California wine country areas. Why does one stay at a B&B? Generally for personalized experience where you are made to feel welcome and special. On a recent trip to the Glenelly Inn in Glen Ellen, CA, none of that was present. The innkeeper... more

Management response from

We are sorry that some reviewers have felt the assistant innkeeper at the Glenelly was unwelcoming. She works very hard here at the inn, 8-10 hours per day. It is sometimes disconcerting when guests arrive far earlier than the check-in time that is posted on our website and reiterated in our confirmation letters wihtout any warning, expecting us to be...
