We were here for a weekend sportying event for my teenage daughter. However, we have three kids ages 2-17 and are always in need of oversized accommodations because we have 5 people in our family. We were a little concerned, as it looked like the hotel was right off the freeway. No need to worry. The area was enough off the freeway to be quiet. Staying in Santa Barbara area is always a pain...it is expensive and most hotels are worn and can be moldy (sea air). What a refreshing place this hotel is. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at this Best Western. Rooms were average, comfy and clean, and the rest of the amenities were excellent. Great breakfast and awesome happy hour (nice beers, wines, cheese and snacks), nice pool and always-working wifi. A simple thing, but the 24-hour coffee machine in the lobby was a nice touch.
