This is an amazing place to stay. Negatives - can take up to 90 mins to reach Yosemite Valley Positives - more tranquil than the valley and close to Hetch Hetchy. The cabins were perfect. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a coffee machine and access to laundry facilities (although able to use at... more

Family friendly place full of character with a great bar, restaurant and den. Service at the restaurant was a little mixed but that didn't deflect from what was a great stay overall. Well worth a visit. more

You wonder when a place has been around since 1921 how it will look today. The Evergreen Lodge was a wonderful, quiet retreat away from the crowds at YNP. The food at the restaurant was very good and we especially enjoyed conversing with the young folks that worked as waiters and desk clerks. I especially liked the four eating locations... more

My family stayed only one night at the Evergreen as we were traveling through Yosemite. I have stayed here on two prior occasions, both were on motorcycle trips, and the last time I was here was over ten years ago. I have shared stories about the location with my wife and we decided to stay our night here. Was I... more

We have just returned from a trip to california stopping at Evergree Lodge for two nights whilst visiting Yosemite. Whilst the lodge does have lots of activities for both adults and children we were rather dismayed at our re-furbished cabin. I know we were staying in a forest and wildlife would be seen (we certainly hoped so) but not bugs... more

I had a horrendous experience with Evergreen Lodge, particularly with their Recreation Desk. I cancelled a trip that I had schedled with their front desk, but the front desk failed to inform the Recreation Desk. No one would ever know that these groups operate independently. It was apparently my responsiblity to ensure that these two groups communciate with each other.... more

We started looking for alternative housing after pricing hotels in Yosemite. I've stayed at other National Park hotels and know what to expect: high prices and a fairly basic hotel experience. Evergreen was a fantastic alternative and I can't imagine a better place for children/teens. The kids would have spent all day here playing ping pong, eating s'mores, etc with... more

My husband and I loved the cabin we stayed at. It was the new traditional cabin with a king sized bed and a gas furnace. The cost was $253.80 per night including tax. It was more expensive than what we liked to spend, but that was the average price for all the lodging around Yosemite during peak season (started on... more

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Evergreen Lodge on May 19 - May 22, 2009. We had a wonderful stay. Our cabin was upgraded to a newly built cabin and it was immaculate. The cabin had no phone, no tv, perfect!!! The cabin was clean and well laid out with a nice little fridge, a very comfortable... more

We stayed 2 nights at the custom camping (where they have tents set-up and foam beds, and all your towels, lantern and sleeping bags ready for you). It was ideal really, because we were looking for a cheaper alternative to staying in yosemite and it's also part of the experience. We initially wanted to stay in the park itself (at... more
