My husband and I just spent a few days in Gualala. I booked the room thru the hotel website after researching on the net for a long time. First of all, the pictures make the room look very spacious and the spa in the bathroom looks like it is separated from the shower. We stayed in the Holland room. It's... more

Roomy, great view and nice firm beds. Bathroom features Kohler products and the shower does not disappoint. Price with tax was what could be expected about $250 w/ tax for the night. Fantastic grocery store next door with local items, wine is WAY over priced!!!! Tthere was a transformer in the wall near the bathroom and that hum was distracting... more

I was determined to drive to Mendocino from San Francisco for a 1-day trip, since I had never been before. It was the Sunday of July 4th weekend. I figured that most people would be on their way back home and that there'd probably be rooms available in case I decided to stay the night at one of the inns... more

We were doing a road trip up the Northern California coast with no pre-defined plans or reservations. It was getting later in the day and we reckoned we should find someplace to stay. The Breakers Inn was the first place we ran into as we drove into town (from the south). We really had no expectations except wanting something with... more

Hello! I live in Northern California. I have done for about 10 years now and I would have to say that after visiting the Breakers Inn over and over for about 6 years straight it is BY FAR my favorite weekend escape! I always call and have even signed up for their email updates. They will occassionally send discounts and... more

We stayed 3 nights at the Breakers Inn...what a fabulous mini vacation. The rooms are all decorated a little differently. We stayed in Germany...corner suite. It had a king size bed which was very comfortable. Corner fireplace near the door to the balcony(which was large). You could leave the door and windows open all night. A sitting area with a... more

Our recent stay at the Breakers didn't measure up to the reviews I had read...perhaps one must stay in one of the oceanfront rooms, which we did not. Pluses: a partial ocean view and a balcony to enjoy it from, clean comfortable motel type-room, although the fireplace was a treat, even if you had to buy the second log! ,... more

My girlfriend and I stayed in Gualala over Easter weekend and it was great! There was another party who wanted the room we had originally booked for three nights, so they upgraded us for the one night we were there to the Penn. room. It overlooked where the Gualala river and the ocean meet, came with fireplace and a huge... more

My husband and I just returned from a relaxing, mid-week, four-day stay at the Breakers Inn. It is located both at the edge of small town on the mouth of the Gualala river and on the ocean. We could see both through a large window from our comfy king-sized bed in our room (Wales room). We left one screened window... more
