I was very happy with my stay at the Fairfield. The check in attendant was very friendly and the hotel had been recently renovated. While my room location was near the freeway, I was not bothered by the noise. The whirlpool and sauna were relaxing. The breakfast was well stocked. I enjoyed the indoor atrium. more

The rooms were nice and clean; obviously from a recent renovation. The atrium in the middle of the hotel is quite pretty, with water and plants. The free breakfast was very good, and the staff made sure that there was always fresh scrambled eggs and waffle mix though the entire breakfast period. If your business takes you to the East Bay hopefully you will be able to stay in a more upscale area than Hayward. But if, like me, you need to be here, the Fairfield Inn is a good option. While there was nothing spectacular about this hotel, it will cover your basic needs for lodging. The hotel is located in an industrial area and you will have to drive 5 or so minutes for food and a shopping mall.
