Strawberry Creek Bunkhouse is what I would think of as a motel, with drive-up rooms, but from the inside, it feels like you're staying in a log cabin. And the fact that you get fresh delicious homemade scones and jam, fruit, etc delivered to your door in the morning gives it a bit of a B&B feel! We stayed in... more

The Strawberry Creek Bunkhouse (previously Atipahato Inn) was the perfect place to stay for my visit. After hiking, rock climbing, and adventuring during the day, it was great to come relax in my cozy room in the mountains. The back balcony provided a great view of the forest, 5 acres of which are owned by the Bunkhouse and have many... more

My husband and I stayed at Atipahato Lodge for our 10th anniversary. I had checked this site for advice before booking our room. The lodge is away from the hustle and bustle of Idyllwild's center of town and sits at the curve of a road which makes getting in and out of the parking lot a little difficult and somewhat... more

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a quick trip and we made a good decision in staying here. We were in the cozy cabin, which was really great. Small but everything we needed was available. Quite a few steps down to the location, but that just makes for more privacy. Cleanliness was great, there is wood available for... more

When my husband and I used to live in San Diego, we would travel to the Atipahato lodge for our getaways! We have stayed in all their rooms and loved the private cabins the best, but enjoyed the smaller rooms as well! Great people, gorgeous setting and just a perfect place! We miss it now that we are on the... more

Its very well maintained, the rooms are large, and their is a balcony with a lovely view of the valley and mountains. The rooms have a kitchenette, microwave, and... more

I have never been in such a comfortable hotel room. The rooms have stoves, refrigerators, a little dining nook with plates and cups. My favorite feature was the bed, it has beautiful, fluffy comforter. Not the cheapy looking comforters you would find at any other hotel. I definitly recommend this hotel, if your looking for a relaxing stay. more

We have been a repeat customer to the Atipahato for about three occasions, and are always astounded by the simple beauty of its location, and rustic interior. With its gabled interior of polished fine wood, the outside brisk mountain air, and hiking routes nearby the Atipahato and Idyllwild will always be a fond destination of ours. more
