If it wasn't for the Groupon special we would never have ventured into this hotel. The staff was nice enough but the accommodations were very small and worn. There was a balcony off the back looking into the trees but the next balcony was so close, we could hear the other guests breathing! Which leads me to the thin walls... More

My son purchased this trip for me as a 'respite' from the stress of his latest Army tour of duty in Iraq. He was so proud of being able to give this trip to his mom as a combined Birthday/Mother's Day gift. Although I would not share this with my son, the accommodations were quite a disappointment. His original gift... More

My friend purchased a Groupon for this establishment and we reserved a unit with two rooms and two queen beds, with a small dog. When we arrived (before 4:00pm) I stayed in the car while my friend checked in. The proprietor, Susan, told my friend that the only room she had was one with 1 queen bed and no pets... More

Well, we stayed a few days. The bunks they call them were a bit creaky. Not very solid. You can hear others in rooms if you talk loud or have music up. Our stay was nice. We went to the local shops and kept groceries in the fridge. Went hiking in the area. Go to the local ranger station to... More

Tiny room. Terribly noisy. Deck out back is standing room only for two with cheap plastic chairs that buckled under my 190 lb weight. Breakfast arrived after 9:30 AM....after we arrived from breakfast out. If you get up in the actual morning this means breakfast for day 1 is to be eaten on day 2. No promised preserves. Organic oatmeal... More

I stayed here 11/17/12 - 11/19/12 and had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms. Because of low vacancy on the weekend we arrived the first room was booked the second night and the second room was booked the first night. We were actually glad we got to see both rooms because we got to see the differences in... More

The place is ok for a bunkhouse, and people are friendly. My biggest problem was the heater. It was extremely noisy. Each time I would come on or turn off, the gas heater made expansion or contraction of metal, kind if like a wood pecker hitting on metal. Even worse, at some point it'd make a huge banging noise that... More

We stayed two nights on a Living Social deal and since neither of us had been to Idyllwild before, we were excited to find a place we could bring our dog. We arrived after check in, which was no problem since we called and let them know, and they left our room key for us. We loved the decor and... More

The fresh mountain air breezes through your room when you open your sliding glass door to admire the beautiful view. What a wonderful place for a relaxing weekend! We reserved a pet friendly room but ended up not bringing our dog so I expected some wayward pet hair. The room was exceptionally clean, my Husband has allergies to animals so... More
