From my perspective, if you like to watch people and just lay back in a chair.. this is where they go. Want coffee.. long lines. slow service at Star Buck. This was a wonderful Marriott property. The service is good and the staff is first rate. Also, the facility is well kept and very clean. The views are georgous and the pool is beautiful. we were looking for a place that had it all , golf, relaxation ,and entertainemnt for the kids , esmeralda resot had it all, the staff was great , drinks were excelelent , room was awesome, and great location, considering it was the middle of summer , it wasnt over crowded like most resorts in palm spring area. more

The hotel is in very good condition - the rooms and common areas are lovely. The outdoor fire pits and lawns remind you that you are in Palm Springs and can enjoy the warm, lovely nights. Banquet food was above par. Service was very cordial, attentive and pro-active. One caveat, there's a $25 resort fee. more

We have stayed here numerous times and have always had a great time. This time was a nightmare. Our room was FILTHY! There were breadcrumbs on the top of the bedspread, some strange liquid all over the bench, crumbs on the floor and more. We switched rooms and the toilet was broken. The noise from the lobby traveled up to the 5th floor. We could hear the people at the bar beyond 1:00 a.m.!!! Mediocre hotel. Not worth the money/ more
