We enjoyed our short stay at this hotel. It is beautifully furnished with antiques. The bathroom and shower were updated. Our room was a bit small, though with only a queen-size bed. It was unseasonably hot the night we stayed, but the air conditioner in the window kept us cool. Good breakfast.

Quaint and well preserved. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are set up like museums and very comfortable. There is a private soaking tub in a room by itself. It is a huge two person cast iron tub. The soaking room is loaded with special bath salts, bubbles, music, towels and robes. Stay for dinner in the... More

My husband does NOT like B&B's and though this is billed as one, I decided to take a chance! We weren't disappointed. From the moment we stepped in the door and the barkeep moved away from his customer and moved to the small desk to register us, I knew we were in for a treat. After handing us the two... More

I was looking for a quiet getaway for some R & R and this turned out to be the perfect spot for me! This old Victorian hotel is clean and well maintained. Its charm is enhanced by its antique furnishings and its location on the old main street of sleepy Jamestown, CA. The attentive and personable staff were eager to... More

Hotel rooms do not have tvs or radios. What a nice change! We talked and read the journals going all the way back to the 1980's. Such great stories about the guests that have stayed in Room No. 5 including stories about the resident ghost Flo. The staff was the best, the food outstanding and the rooms are very clean.... More

This is a great bed and breakfast if you are looking to get a real good feel for the history of the area. It is not over restored or updated, enough for comfort and convenience while keeping the charm and atmosphere. We had a room in front which was great for looking out over the town, but a bit noisy... I have stayed here twice. Both times the staff has been great, the food in their restaurant is very good. Michael the bar tender is one of the best. You can always count on him for a funny story and a good drink. I have traveled all over the world and this place is one of my favorites. Always a... More

This place is beautiful. Full of antiques. It felt like I was back in the "old west" days. The perfect place to stay on a trip along the Golden Chain Highway (49). Stayed 2 nights. Good location to travel out during the day to other towns nearby then come back for a nice dinner and a drink in the saloon.... More

Debra, we're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We were glad to have you as a guest. We do try to keep the noise down from the bar as best as we can by 10:30 on weekends but, on occasion, a few people are still with us as we're about to close. Our policy is not to... More

Wow, what a great place. Beautifully and authentically restored to what it might have looked like in 1859. The bar was great, friendly, and well stocked. The upstairs landing, hall area was lovely, and the room/bathroom was perfect. They have a ghost named "Flo," too, which add to the charm of the place - though we didn't see or hear... More

I used this hotel as 'the something different' on my round the world trip. The service is perfect and the barman Brian has all the best tips.
