Goes w/o saying..the nicest place in town. Great bed&breakfast feel but without the dusty knickknacks & cramped space. Lovely newer lodge/lobby. Fantastic food & drink...may be the best place to dine in Julian also. Pretty grounds, even a nice walking path into the hills. more
Orchard Hill was beautiful and the staff so warm and gracious. Our room was the perfect place to spend the first night of our honeymoon. Though we've been gong to Julian for 20 years, this relatively new hotel is a cut above the rest. Each room is decorated differently. My wife and I made a last minute call for a weekend getaway. I've not been to Julian proper, but do recommend Orchard Hill highly. We missed the afternoon wine and cheese, but they saved a plate for us--which was nice. And, the breakfasts, packed picnic lunch, and dinner were all really good. My wonderful husband gave me the greatest Birthday surprise with a weekend get-a-way to the luxuriously comfortable Orchard Hill Country Inn in Julian, CA.
