we have going to june lake for many years. my wife and i love fishing and hiking here. the best time of the year to visit, i think, is in october. not so crowded and the fall colors are unbelievable. we'll plan a day where i'll get her a spa package. we will fish for a few hours in the... more

We have been coming to the June Lake area for almost two decades, some of us three. Until Ron and Connie opened Double Eagle there were only "rustic" ammenities to stay at and also eat/dine. Their attention to making you feel comfortable and welcome is as nice as the natural beaty that surrounds you. Chef Joel in the restaurant is... more

We've been staying here since they opened almost 10 years ago, no more. Since they started booking weddings here it's impossible to relax or even think. Our room was shaking from the wedding party music late into the night. How can you call yourself a spa and have music blaring late into the night? They should at least consider building... more

We stayed at the Double Eagle for 2 nights during our trip to the Yosemite area. We used the hotel as a base for exploring the Yosemite high country, as it was less than an hour away (much closer than driving from the Valley). We also stayed at the Ahwahnee Hotel, but had an equally good experience at Double Eagle... more

We've stayed in three different cabins and one deluxe room over recent years, but we will probably move on to another property for next year's annual trip to June Lake. Each year, we've noticed more maintenance problems in the cabins. A shortage of coat hangers and balky mini-blinds are one thing, but the most recent cabin we occupied had a... more

At our first visit we were greeted like family. A guided tour by Chris W. sold us on the beautiful resort with its charming cabins nestled amoung the trees, the olympic indoor swimming pool partially under glass, the expertly appointed fitness center and the serene ambience. Every year since we have returned with some members of our family to rebuild... more

Great setting with mountain and lake views. With grandson, age 9, and the off the road location with small lake and stream allowed him to run around in a controlled area. Had a lakefront cabin which was very nicely furnished and comfortable. Restaurant has great views. Wife and grandson liked the food. Grandpa not so sure. Wine list good and... more

We stayed here for the first time and it was much nicer than we expected. The rooms are spacious, clean, beautifully decorated with a picturesque view from the room. The spa treatments were awesome. The restaurant was excellent; great food and ambiance. Overall, the staff were very accommodating and very nice. We plan to stay here again next year! more

Just got back from our third annual June Lake trip, at the Double Eagle Resort. We stay in a cabin with our two young children. We ski during the day, and use the pool/spa in the evening. When we checked in they also had our ski passes ready for us. The property as always was in great shape. To save... more
