We absolutely loved our weekend at the Wine Country Tea House. Ken (the owner) went out of his way to make our stay absolutely wonerful. The Japanese Tea House was lovely and very authentic. We had homemade grape juice awaiting us as we walked in. (Wine is available for those who drink.) Ater taking off our shoes, sliding the rice paper doors open and walking into the main room with tatami mats we were met with soft music and lit candles. The atmosphere was very peaceful and romantic. We slept on a futon on the tatami mats which was surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast items, cheeses, crackers, cereal, muffins and more. We loved the authentic Japanese bath and enjoyed the selection of DVD's. The gardens surrounding the inn were lovely. Ken recommended a nice little local restaurant that we just loved. Ken also gave us wonderful shiatsu massages.
