The best bed & breakfact we have ever stayed in. Not only was our room beautiful it was also comfortable. The staff was excellent and made everyone feel they were at home. Breakfast was gourmet and beautifully set and served. We were there for our son's wedding with other family staying at the Inn and had a wonderful time together... more

We just loved our stay at this B&B! You have everything here!! Beauty, comfortable, leisure, quiet, walk to the beach and shops all day!! Walk to restruants! Breakfast to get you going in the morning. Our room was wonderful. Bed was comfy and let me tell you my hubby doesn't like going anywhere cause the beds at hotels/motels/B&B are NOT... more

What a wonderful place to stay. My room was so quiet and the bed was so comfy. I enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening under the twinkle lights in the tree. But most of all the cookies and hot coffee in the foyer. Everyone was very friendly and the surrounding areas were easy to find shops and sightseeing. more

When we arrived we enjoyed sitting out of the veranda with a glass of wine and cheese. We were given a name of an Italian restaurant that was awesome just down the street... We will definitely go back !!! more

Charming place with a bit of history. Loved the early evening wine in the courtyard and Chef Mary is an enthusiastic hostess. Great location...near it all. more

We stayed in the Garden Room. It was very comfy. The only complaint about the room is that it was dark, not much natural light. I could tell the other rooms were brighter, the Garden room's windows are very close to the building next door. Other than that, it was a great B&B. The food was excellent. It is a... more

Great location.....far away yet near enough to all the shops and beach. Makes for a great weekend. Grounds are well maintained and service is great. The only negative in today's economy, is that the pricing is on the high side (at least for us). With lower room rates and better deals, we'd likely visit more often. more

Lovely room, nice extras such as wine and cheese between 3pm and 5pm. However, breakfast had no choice..... One slice of French toast covered in very sweet blueberry jam sauce; two small sausage links and a blob of cream. Fresh fruit bowl covered in dried coconut and dishwater coffee. Not healthy whatsoever and a 'take it or leave it as... more

Well, from what was said in a previous review about the same breakfast, you were not the only one displeased with the breakfast that morning and we are correcting the problem. As of October 13, we will have a new cook in the kitchen. We apologize that we fell short of the mark since breakfast is the second most important...

We stayed one night at the Inn. It is two blocks from the ocean. Our room was cozy with French decor and a garden view. It would had been nice to have a TV. The staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the wine and cheese reception with cookies. The Inn is one block from Art Museum/Concert Hall. That night... more

We have stayed in La Jolla many times but never in a bed and breakfast - the location was terrific we could walk everywhere, the rooms were very pretty and you felt like a guest in someone's beautiful summer home, the food was delicious and the setting was so pretty in the dining room, the twinkling lights in the courtyard... more
