We've stayed here a couple of times when visiting the Eastern Sierra. The motel isn't fancy, but it's clean and tidy. Most of the rooms have a view of Mono Lake. We like rooms 11 and 12 because they're to the rear of the motel and have a bit more privacy. There's nothing like watching the sun rise over the...

I had bedbug bites from hell. This place is a serious health violation. The manager who checked us in was a complete AS%^&(ole. Never again. There was zero information in the room as far as where to eat. Not even a phone book. I'll probably have to see a doctor to get rid of the scabies.

We left, after a one night stay on our trip to Yosemite and Mono Lake, with several bed bug bites and a ridicuously expensive bill considering the basic, rather shabby accomodations! Lee Vining is a tiny town with other options, or better yet, stay in Mammoth Lakes.

This was the most expensive (per night) stay on our 1500 mile road trip and chosen because of its proximity to Moro Lake and the start of the Tioga Pass and it was the worst value. The place is shabby, cheaply constructed and offers few facilities for the guests. The photos on the website are VERY flattering!
Check-in was literaly,...

This place has it's charm but don't expect anything fancy at all, just a place to rest your head although it is a great location where you can walk across the street to three different restaurants for dinner or breakfast. The town and this motel made me feel like I stepped back in time to the 50's but it was...

We stayed here one night in August on the way to Yellowstone. The room was very expensive given the dated decor (except for the bathroom) and the lack of air conditioning. We ran a noisy fan pointed directly at the bed for the entire night. At least the fan blocked the noise from the adjacent road. The doors were flimsy...

The proprietor was extremely nice and accommodating. A little pricey, however. Is situated along the road but weren't bother by noise, perhaps because we were tired from our excursions. No breakfast but Wi-Fi available. Across the street from a couple of serviceable restaurants. Main attraction is convenience to Mono and June Lakes areas as well as eastern Yosemite National Park.

This was by far the worst hotel we stayed in during the four-week trip we made throughout the west of the USA in August and September 2011. Althgough the room was very expensive it offered no comfort at all: The room was small and very noisy as it lied directly next to the street where trucks pass all night and...

We stayed in Yosemite Gateway Motel for one night in August. It was the most expensive hotel on our 4-week tour through the northwestern USA. Even for a quater of the price it wouldn't have been good enough. I'm not someone who's writting a lot of reviews but this motel is such a bad choice that I have the feeling...
