The hotel was generally pretty nice, though they were under severe renovation. However, my assistant and I woke up in the morning, opened the blinds, to find six strange men RIGHT outside our glass door working, looking at us, very scary for two lady travelers. The Maya is a newly renovated four building hotel on the Long Beach Harbor. We had a spacious two queen bed room looking out on the harbor and the pool. My fiancé (32) and I (30) chose this Hotel for the first night of our three-week California tour. We flew into L.A. and drove straight to Hotel Maya. Finding the way may be a little difficult, but not a major problem. We really loved the room, which was spacious, very nicely decorated and had a wonderful view across the bay.... more

The outdoor patio at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach has one of the best views of the water along the coast. Sunset is fantastic on this spacious patio, but the service needs to be fixed.
