I booked this hotel on-line about a week prior to our Queen Mary event for the fireworks show on the 4th of July holiday. Knowing that this hotel offered a complimentary shuttle, I was relieved that we would not have to experience another year of crazy traffic as we had experienced last year. The night before my stay at this... more

I have options such as the Westin, Renaissance, and Hilton, but I have chosen Holiday Inn for the next three years. The staff is incredibly professional at the 4 star level. If I need something, I get it. Only on my last stay did I sign up for the Priority Club membership, so I know they were previously treating me... more

We had booked two hotel rooms at this hotel for a conference being held in Long Beach. I contacted the hotel directly and booked two rooms, gave credit information and received two confirmation numbers. There was a problem with the name on the reservation a week later, I had to call and re-confirm and they said they fixed everything and... more

Stayed here 2 nights before a Mexico cruise. Being from NY, I had no idea how bad the area was and didn't do enough research. (Live and learn!). The hotel was clean and all of the workers were professional, but the surrounding area is not good. Breakfast ws so-so. I would not recommend staying here. Good luck. more

The neighborhood is frightening and made us all regret booking this hotel. A shirtless man in tatoos greeted us as we exited the elevator to go to our room. Maybe we should have brought our M-16's. Reserved room w/2 king beds. Got 2 doubles. The sheets and blankets were wet from not being dryed. The hotel restaurant completely botched the... more

After reading some of the earlier reviews, I was hesitant about our stay here. It was just for an overnight before a Hawaiian cruise. The hotel staff was very helpful, the front desk accomodating, the waitstaff cheerful, room clean, and looked newly renovated, food was good. The free transportation was a plus, both to visit the Queen Mary, and then... more

Unfortnately my corp travel agent put me in this hotel which will be eliminated from our database!!! The employees are uneducated rude and unwilling to help with smallest request. The neighborhood is terrible and the hotel is not close to anyplace safe! The odor of febreeze does not cover up the stink of old and moldy. more

There isn't really much night life around this hotel and transport is necessary to get to any bars or restaurants. The staff in general are very friendly except for one arrogant staff member who was very unhelpful when simply asked to help me locate a bank so that I could cash travellers cheques. Also they had very few safety deposit... more

We went on a Mexican cruise departing from the LA Cruise Terminal in San Pedro on 19 Feb 2006 and flew in the day before. We chose to stay in Long Beach since it appeared they have better facilities to spend the day. We found the Holiday Inn downtown quite satisfactory, having been recently renovated. The front desk at check... more

We stayed in Long Beach for a high school sailing regatta at the Alamitos Yacht Club. There were 24 people in our party. All of us were pleasantly pleased at everything and wish to return next year. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, pool/hot tub was clean and working, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and attractive. The surrounding... more
