Sitting just 150 yards from Hollywood and Highland this hotel is a 2 minute walk from the very epicentre of it all yet the staff deal with everything with a calm friendly efficiency that it a credit to themselves and the brand. Stayed just the one night in Sept 2009 for a quick visit to Universal. After a long flight from Australia they allowed us to check in early which was excellent. Rooms are very nice, but cramped for a family of five with heaps of luggage. Parking cost you, but breakfast is included and is better than average. Didn't use the... more

This was the 2nd hotel on our 6 day trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful at the check in The rooms are very spacious, modern furniture and elegant decor. It was clean and tidy. This is a lovely hotel in a great location just minutes walk from the walk of fame. The hotel is well kept, the breakfast was the best we'd had in our trip (stayed at 5 hotels in total and was much better than the breakfast we had to pay $15 each for in the DoubleTree in Del Mar). This hotel was far better than any other Holiday Inn Express I've stayed in. Our room was large, the internet was great and they didn't mind my friend's erratic parking whenever she came to collect us! Our room was ridiculously hot though (even though it was miserable outside!) and the air con was far too loud to have on overnight.... more

Very impressed. For a Holiday Inn Express, this is of excellent quality - rooms were above usual standard, generally very smart, and in a good location for Hollywood. Only downside was breakfast, which was the usual cheap&nasty plastic-y HI Express breakfast (it is free/included, though) Otherwise great. more
