I was visiting a friend who has a sailboat in the San Pedro/L.A. Harbor. I needed to be close-by but be on a serious budget. I looked at the other low-budget places in the area and decided on this one. Probably the best <$40 a night place in SoCal. Rooms are small to average, no-frills but clean...TV and nice sized bathroom. Some rooms have refrig. and microwave. Other comparably priced hotels are jokes compared to this one. I've stayed at 5star hotels and resorts before (LaQuinta Resort, Fairmont, Westin, etc.) and I must say, the manager tries to live up to those standards, albeit <$40. Located in industrial area. Manager is a godsend, but when I tried to contact her to make a reservation, was tough to track down. Be persistent though, it's worth it.
