First, the rooms are ok. It's an old hotel, and it shows, but I've stayed in much worse than this. They make you bring your key in every morning to get it revalidated or it won't work. Very clean hotel where the staff leave you in peace but help if you need it.Basic but satisfactory breakfast and free parking. My friend recommended that I stay in this area which is a twenty minute drive from Beverly Hills and West Hollywood because it has lots of character. Quite small rooms with free broadband, free wifi in main lobby, free parking in the yard, free breakfast with doughnuts, etc. though Starbucks just around corner, 7/11 across the street. Location: Located out of downtown Los Angeles in an area called Silverlake. This is a very Mexican style community and no staff around appeared to be American.
