The hotel looks great on the website, so does it's grand lobby. However everything changes the second you walk into the room. It's tiny - gap between the tv cabinet and the bed is one foot wide, sink overlapses on top of the shower. Vey dated, 16in old tv, cracked tiles, patched wood bathroom door. The hotel is amazing from the time you step in the doors. The original detail of the hotel is well preserved, and is really something to see. Very few once glamorous hotels have been able to retain the charm that this one has. The service is somewhat lacking, but the rooms are nice and spacious. A car is a must... more

I stayed at the Biltmore for 3 nights during a 3 week West Coast trip. I was able to get some rooms at a good rate online. My stay was nothing less than superb. The central location is probably as good as you can get anywhere in LA. The service, the rooms and the quality of the hotel were outstanding.... more

I recently stayed at the Biltmore. It's definitely like stepping into the past and no Hotel chain could today try to recreate the grandiose, charm and style of the lobby, open hallways, crown molding, stairways with banisters that aren't enclosed in concrete, etc. It's very cool just entering the place.
