The hotel was neat and clean. The hot tub was nice. My only complaint was there was only 1 restaurant within walking distance - Dennys right next door. Breakfast was simple but well stocked. more

with a golf course and park adjacent to the hotel there is a lot more to the area than what first meets the eye, just a short trip from the keyser permanente health center and about ten minutes to great shopping in torrence, and close to the cruise terminals near Long Beach. There is even a fast transit connection to... more

I arrived at this hotel, no one behind front desk. Waited 20 minutes. Checked BA to see if desk person was sick. No one there! Shouted for someone 8 times. No answer. Finally, I yelled as loud as I could. A female came out from the shadows walking as slow as possible, glaring at me. Chilling! It was scary! She... more

There were very few reviews of this property that I could find, and those that I could find were equally weighted from bad to good. I was initially put off, but because the rates were good ($70/night on a government discount plan) I took the chance and booked my two-night stay. My first concern was with bed bugs. I recently... more

After staying in this hotel for one night, I woke up to find my bed crawling with bed bugs and I got at least 200 bites that itched for three weeks! I told the manager while I was checking out and he didn't care at all. I made a complaint to Best Western and the hotel would not even contact... more

The hotel is clean and spacious. They have plenty of parking available free while you are at sea. Only a ten minute ride to the port. Breakfast is rather meager - toast, donuts, but Denny's is right next door. If making a reservation other than directly with the hotel (i.e. Orbitz, Expedia, etc.) take all printouts of your confirmation proving... more

We stayed here one night as we were going on a cruise the next day. The rooms were quite big. Clean. Nothing special about them. Continental breakfast sucked. I have never seen a worse breakast then that. For advertising that they are close to the cruise ships, they didn't have a clue were the port was. I didn't really care... more

The Best Western World Port is somewhere between a dive and a cheap hotel. It would appear that the hotel has been purchased fairly recently and the new owners have attempted an inexpensive upgrade. And it's also quite clear that the current management is trying to get by with a least-cost maintenance approach. The first room they gave us didn't... more

Nothing fancy but this was a clean hotel with good sized rooms - we had the room with 2 king beds - great location if you are taking a cruise - only about 5-10 minutes down the 110 freeway to the port more
