I checked in and the woman at the desk was friendly. When I got to my room I noticed that the room across the hall was sealed off as if they were trying to contain bugs. (room 226) to be exact. I was in room 230. The room appeared clean, but there was loud music from the apartments next door.... more
I was in L.A. for the pac 10 tournament last week and stayed at this place due to the cheaper price and close location to Staples Center. The room was decent sized and clean enough. No complaints about the service. The location of the hotel is indeed very questionable. Not the good part of L.A., thats for sure. But overall... more
I stayed at the Comfort Inn while attending the Pac 10 basketball tournament at Staples recently. I read the negative reviews after I had already booked the hotel so was prepared for a bad experience. I found the hotel clean and comfortable. The beds were firm, there was free internet with good connection speeds and the linen was changed each... more
BEWARE! I stayed at the hotel August 16-19, 2008. I was infected by bed mites which showed up as leisions on my skin about three days after I checked out. My doctor confirmed the infestation. I have attempted to bring this to the attention of the hotel management but they won't return my telephone call. more
We accommodate many guests each evening, and we strive to make their stay a satisfying one. The principal goal of our hotel is to provide dependable service to all of our guests at reasonable prices. Consequently, it is disappointing to learn that you're unhappy. After your concern was brought to my attention, serveral things happend. One of them was a...
We booked the Comfort Inn because we have been pleased with Comfort Inns in the past plus a lot of places were booked up. We arrived at 1:00 just to see if they could check us in before going to our conference. They readily checked us in at the front desk and were friendly and helpful with directions. The hotel... more
Perhaps "Downtown LA's Worst Hotel" is a bit of an overstatement. From what the locals say, there are worse hotels, but Comfort Inn City Center is Downtown LA's Worst "Chain" Hotel. Suffice it to say that everything in all the negative reviews on this hotel is true, and then some. For example, the location is in the Mexican ghetto; room... more
I wish I would have heeded the advice about the hotel. It all started on the wrong foot.i requested for non smoking was given smoking one with windows open to dispel any smell.Had to argue a lot to get another room, was told initially that it full but later on gave one seeing how disatisfied i was with their service.i was told... more
The hotel itself was ok. A bit worn around the edges but clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Problem was with the location. When we booked, we were told it is near the LA convention centre (which it was) and conveniant for the metro (whihc it was). What they failed to mention was that this... more
The pictures, as usual, show something quite different then what you will see when you arrive. While the hotel itself is pleasant to look at the neighborhood leaves something to be desired. When we booked the hotel we were surprised by what seemed like such a great price to be only three miles from the LA convention center. Being from... more
