Although I was at the Manhattan Beach Marriott for business, it felt more like a vacation. My company chose the hotel, but I couldn't have been happier. I stayed for quite a long time and I loved having the par-3 course right in the back yard, I'd play almost every day. The staff was great, maybe it was because they... more

The service is terrible. Room service menu is a joke (1 page laminated card) and they are not open at lunch. The rooms are typical marriott (dated with antique TVs) Don't let their adds fool you the golf course is a joke. When you read the boxes that describe the property realize they don't have the descriptor "dump with poor... more

Every time I find myself in the LA area I stay at the MB Marriott. The beds are always magnificent, the service is typically very courteous and the executive par 3 golf course is always in good shape. Golf Course view room is a must. The breakfast spread is great, includes eggs made to order and gourmet coffee. The parking... more

I stayed here on business for one night because my usual hotel in the area was all booked up. This Marriott is your standard big business hotel situated in the middle of an office park. It is also on a 9-hole golf course. The hotel is dated and the rooms aren't spectacular. Drab. Avoid the 3rd and 4th floor rooms... more

Although this hotel is positioned as a 'business' hotel, it has plenty to offer holiday-makers: a well maintained Par 3 9-hole golf course, excellent gym & decent pool & sun deck. It's also well located for shopping, the cinema & a plentiful supply of resturants to cater for all tastes & budgets. The room was large, with a modern feel... more

The rooms are very spacious, air con quite noisy, internet access and parking is very expensive, and if you get a room at the end of the corridor, be prepared for a very long walk from the lift. Staff helpful, but the best thing about this hotel is its location. Great shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Shame they... more

Can anyone else tell me hotel which tell you when your internet use will run from/to? I can - the Manhattan Beach Marriott!!! There is a card on the desk which tells you how to connect to the in room internet and it says $12 (ish) for 1 day. Only thing is, their day runs from noon to noon. So... more

I read the reviews & the location isn't that great. If you have a hire car & you just want to get to tourist attractions, maybe, but we didn't have a car & just wanted to get to Manhattan Beach - a good 30-40mins walk away - even though reception told us it was 10-15mins!! Hotel is pretty dated but... more

9 Aug 2009 | Trip type: Family

We booked a 2 night stay here as a family to rest between a long flight and 3 days in Disneyland, thinking it looked like a relaxing, decent hotel near to LAX. We booked two months in advance, booked with a credit card and rang several times to confirm our needs - interconnecting rooms, one with a pair or beds,... more

Just returned home from a four-night LA getaway. The location is great -- very close to LAX -- a $17 taxi ride gets you to the front door. The staff is very accommodating and friendly -- no complaints there. The lobby and restaurant are also very nice including a lobby bar. The hotel always seems to be busy with conventions... more
