My teenage daughter and I stayed here last week while looking at colleges in the LA area. I was a bit concerned after the other reviews I had read, but based on the location I decided to give it a try. It is so close to LAX you dont even need to get on a freeway, yet we did not... more

I would highly recommend this hotel from the friendly staff, location to all LA (Santa Monice, Venice, Airport, etc) and you will always see a celebrity. My room had a great expansive view of the Marina, Pool and even the Hollywood sign in the distance. A great atmosphere and energy around the pool on weekends and I would recommend to... more

My husband and I chose this hotel with the highest expectations due to the Ritz reputation of the finest accomadations and service. We chose a marine terrace room, which did not allow a discount, but offered a full view of the marina. However, the room was marginally acceptable for the price. The carpet was dirty, with dark spots throughout.. There... more

Looked forward to staying at the Ritz-Carlton on my first trip to California. As my husband checked in, I turned away from the front desk to find a place to sit. There was a set of white/cream color sofa's flanking the entryway. As I approached the first sofa, I could not find a place to sit because of the soil... more

Dear BestWeatherTravelers, Thank you for the candid feedback. We have since replaced the furniture you reference. Our guest rooms, spa, fitness center and meeting space have all been renovated within the last 12 to 20 months with a multi-million dollar investment. The last piece of the hotel that is awaiting renovation is the lobby and common spaces. The enhancements of...

I love to travel but I typically dislike most hotels. Usually I can't wait to leave the hotel for the comfort of my own bed and surroundings. Staying at this Ritz was the clear exception. I've never enjoyed a hotel more--the staff and service were stellar (very down to earth), the room was squeaky clean and luxurious, the views of... more

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in a king-size room on the club floor and with the AAA rate, it was very reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast each morning in the club lounge. The staff were very polite and accommodating and the food was delicious. From our room (with a balcony) we had a fabulous view over the... more

Between 6:30am - 11pm sleep was impossible because our room was directly under the "Club" room where chairs were dragged noisily and heavy footfalls thundered. We were not warned! The next morning we asked to be moved and luckily, it was possible. Everything costs extra. No free internet and parking MUST be valet...no other possible parking anywhere. Breakfast dining experience... more

It was such amazing service from everyone, which is really important. From the Valet... more

I stayed here for the 2nd time in April and had another lovely stay. Great pool layout--very tranquil and relaxing. Rooms are nicely appointed---only negative is the dated bathroom. Staff is attentive and customer focused. more
