We didn't plan to stay her as we planned to stay in Yosemite but after a nightmare drive over the Tioga pass with smoking brakes on the car then a 3 hour diversion due to the fire on Big Oak Road we'd had enough of driving so decided to try and find a hotel. his was the first hotel we... more

Paid $68.20 (including taxes) in September 2009 for a night at this clean, nicely renovated, well landscaped, park at your door motel. The person on reception was rather distant and businesslike at checkin but readily gave us a different room when we didn't like our first one which had a couple of shirtless men in a pickup truck next door.... more

Stayed five nights at this standard motor hotel. Nothing fancy, but has clean, large rooms with good amenities such as fridge, plush towels and 25" TV's. If you can't stay inside Yosemite NP, I recommend staying in Mariposa. It's exactly an hour drive to Yosemite Valley and offers accommodations roughly 1/2 the price as similar in-park lodgings. The quaint gold... more

this is what i expected but there was no other vacancy for the 4th of july. the site is nicely landscape but was overpriced for a regular motel room (we got one that stays int he shade, therefore dark all day). I'm adding a picture of the bathroom window full of cobwebs, and I had the bad surprise when i... more

We chose this place from TripAdvisor reviews and it came up to expectations. The price was good value, the rooms were a bit dated but clean and comfortable. The receptionist suggested places to eat in town for dinner and breakfast. We ended up at the Pizza Factory that night, the consolation prize being red wine for $7.50 a carafe. Hard... more

We were looking for a no-frills hotel near Yosemite. The price was fine so we booked. Nothing to complain about. Clean, comfortable. Good access to Yosemite. I don't know how it is in summer but we were there on a weekday in April and this town rolls up and goes to sleep when the sun goes down - even many... more

Fantastic hotel. For the price (I paid $59 a night) you can't beat it.. The owner and workers are very nice, the cleaning staff did a great job, and the room itself was spacious. Room included a good sized fridge and microwave. There isn't a garden, but the small grounds are landscaped nicely. Overall, a wonderful stay. Would have expected... more

We wanted to celebrate our anniversary in Yosemite in Jan. without having to carry chains and worry about the weather for driving. Mariposa Lodge Motel was the perfect gateway with its friendliness, good clean rooms, and bus to Yosemite right at the corner. We felt lucky to identify such a stop for after our long drive. The room even had... more

I've stayed here periodically for years -- IT'S EXCELLENT ! RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY !!! Nice hosts always, rooms clean & comfortable, beautiful gardens, perfect location (center of town), rooms set back from street, refrigerators, pool clean & refreshing. Service staff very nice, thoughtful & efficient. Comfort Inn is the next best motel if this one is full. more

We spent one night here after a couple of days in Yosemite. The town is perfectly placed for getting into Yosemite in a fairly short amount of time. There are several really nice restaurants nearby too. We changed rooms after our first room had ants all over the bathroom. The guy at reception was upset to hear that and changed... more
