Heading back to Victoria BC from Phoenix and made Merced our first stop. Called ahead asking if they were pet friendly and Yes that was great. Just off the freeway but not far enough. We stayed in this hotel as we were travelling through Calif. The room was so noisy from freeway and train traffic that we had difficulty sleeping. The plus side was the office staff was friendly and the room was clean. But none of that was worth putting up with the noise even with the complementary ear plugs.

Basic hotel room. Clean linens and comfortable beds. The pool worked for the kiddos. The fitness room was small but worse was the ac did not work! It is August in Merced!! The office gal was friendly and the continental breakfast was nice. It had a little more variety than other Best Western breakfasts. Easy place to stop over.
