Convenient location for trips to Yosemite etc and a good stopover point. Basic motel with easy access, and basic rooms. Didn't feel that safe at night when we ventured out for dinner, but in the hotel itself was fine. more

We booked through expedia, telling it 2 adults and 1 teen. When we got to the hotel, they charged us for an extra person on top of the expedia price. Management was very rude concerning the issue. We only stayed the night there because it was 11:00 at night when we were arriving and we did not know our way... more

Overcharged me $10 more than room rate the quoted on phone. The charged me for KING size beds and only given me Queen Size, another charge. Horrible Highway noise, sounded like trains driving through when trucks downshifted through there. My room was UNBEARABLY HOT. I asked for another room, they said none available. The other room I rented was cooler.... more

Best Western Inn in Merced, CA has the best customer service I had ever received from a hotel. Everyone was polite and courteous. They try everything in there power to made sure that you were happy. The rooms were beautiful, everything was in the proper place, the sheets on the bed were comfortable; not stiff like other places. There were... more

My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western Inn, Merced as a stopover on our way from San Francisco to Yosemite. The good news is that the hotel was very easy to find and easy to get to from highway 99. The bad news is that only a 2 lane road separates the hotel from the highway itself.... more

Just got back from Merced for my dad's 65th birthday. I was born and raised in this town, and it used to be a really friendly place when I was growing up here. We wanted to stay at the new Courtyard Marriott, but for $189 per night (my family scoffed at that) to stay in Merced, it was WAY overpriced,... more

The hotel must have been redone in the past few years as it looked great. The exterior looked nice as did the small pool area. The rooms had newer carpets, furniture, and vanities. The breakfast was modest but good. My only complaint is the horrendous noise from the freeway. The hotel is right along Highway 99 with only a chainlink... more

A number of motels is Merced are situated in the Motel Drive, just along the route 99. Best Western Inn is one of them and it is a good choice if you're staying in the town. The motel has all the standard amenities, plus some more: hairdryer, fridge, microwave, iron, coffee maker, large TV but also free wifi, DVD, VHS.... more

This was the worst hotel I have every stayed at. The rooms smelled like body oder and the carpets were sticky. The breakfasts is so bad, the coffee tasted nasty. At night the parking lot fills up with truck drivers stopping for the night. The freeway is so close that it's all you can hear, no matter what room your... more
