The room offered basic amenities, was very clean and easy to find despite an afterdark arrival. The hotel staff is very helpful. The room was very quiet. Allow time for the air conditioning to adjust the room temperature to comfortable levels. Good central location. I would recommend it to a friend. more

My first room here was pretty bad. Room w/ a queen sized bed looked pretty rundown and the door to our room would not lock once inside the room. This is an economy motel with a friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, one of the nicer showers I've had in a hotel in some time. It was off Hotel Road and pretty quiet. For what we paid, a good deal. I will use this property in the future. more

The Merced Travelodge is a typical low-budget hotel. The best aspect of the hotel was its desk staff, who were extremely friendly and helpful. Last week we stayed here, despite bad ratings from 2006. I was surprised that the room was really big and clean. The next morning we were ready to move on to Yosemites and I asked the manager about the change. Apparently there is now a new owner, the whole new wing was built to accomodate two beds non smoking type.... more

Very clean... smelled like flowery soap when you walked inside. The a/c was cold. The room was kind of small, but they made very good use of the space. The room that I stayed in seemed to be an old apartment of some sort that they had remodeled. The light inside the tile shower didn't work, but wasn't really necessary.... more
