The Desert Winds motel in Mojave, Ca is a good stop. The motel is clean, the desk clerk pleasant, and the little town itself is easy to drive to from Highway 58. It is within walking distance to fast food or sit down restaurants and there are nearby gas stations that are cheaper than Barstow or other desert towns nearby.... more

What can I say, it's best western. We were here on route from Yosemite to Las Vegas. Denny's next door for dinner. Not much else in Mojave!
